Teacher PayTeachers play a profoundly significant role in every society. They should be honored and supported accordingly because of their dedication and contributions to our world. Many teachers support class activities with their own personal funds. We’re working to increase teacher compensation so that they can devote themselves to teaching without incurring financial hardship. They deserve to be as revered as our athletes and entertainers. There are few professions as noble as the profession of teaching. Elevating teacher pay demonstrates that our priorities as a society are in alignment with our values. We will lobby via a state by state, and local government efforts to increase teacher pay by at least 25% by the year 2014, without an increase in local and state budgets, but by way of restructuring our priorities in local and state spending. We will also lobby our federal government for an Educators Tax Credit in order to reduce the tax burden of all educators. The impact that educators have on our world should be acknowledged by our local, state, and federal governments in the most tangible ways possible. We thank you for your support of our efforts.
